Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year.....the only things missing were Jon's family......otherwise the day, the company, & the food was PERFECT!! I couldn't have asked for anything better!! We were scrunched in but it was a reminder that we are all alive & present on this earth & we were together.....knocking elbows!! Cliche' as that is.....if you know anything about our year you know that my younger sister kissed deaths door for 14 minutes while my niece was in her belly. So the fact that they both were present sitting across from me made my thankfulness burst!
I put together a thankful tree......
each place setting had a wooden pencil simply tied in yarn with a piece of paper to write your thankful on & then attach to the tree with the tiny clothespin
I rarely am able to use this silver.....but when I do it comes with the special memory of my grandparents who are no longer on this earth! This was gifted to Jon & I on our wedding day!
While Jon & I finish last minute to do's prior to company arriving Kayden had busied herself with fabric scraps & yarn
This banner was the end result! LOVE her creativity!
Only downfall to hosting......not being able to indulge in the Macy's Day Parade....I have fond memories as a child of the women in our family busily preparing for dinner while the kids gawked at float after float!
  The kitchen was BUSY!
Can you say FULL belly post this consumption?
Welch's Sparkling anything.....YUM!
Someone got antsy & needed to roam
 Post thankful posting's.....
We all had to roll away from the table & rest on the couch before returning to attack this mess......
but we promptly hit the couch again for talking, laughing, knitting.....
being silly......
pulling hair......
AND the finale of the night.....having some fun with the Hughes Photo Booth....Thanksgiving Style!! I wish I could insert all the laughing!

Much past 9:00pm we realized why the kids started crying & whining & why the adults started dozing off again, it was much past 9:00pm......as we said our good-byes & locked the door Jon & I repeatedly said......"that was the best Thanksgiving yet".......it just might have been.....for multiple reasons!
